Material which has been received on a district purchase order and is to be returned to a vendor due to duplication or damage can be returned in several ways:

  1. Returning materials by United Parcel Service is probably the best way. The district will be able to verify if the vendor has received the materials to insure proper credit to the district’s account.
  2. Materials, such as books, tapes, etc., can be returned parcel post, although this particular means of returning does not provide a means of verifying receipt of order by the vendor.
  3. Alternate ways to return materials are by Federal Express, Next Day Mail, Freight Company, etc. These options are usually expensive and should be used only if necessary.
